Reflections – 10 Parishes Festival 2023
Victoria Ward - Stogumber map

Victoria Ward – Wiveliscombe Art Collective

Discipline Painting, Illustration, Drawing.

Victoria will be exhibiting her ever popular ’10 Parishes Maps’ along with a brand new range of West Somerset Railway station stops, from Minehead through to Bishops Lydeard. Each map is painted in her signature style, full of colour and embellished with touches of gold and silver. Tiny illustrations of significant landmarks and buildings feature as does the lay of the land, waterways and railway lines complete with steam trains.

Commissions are very welcome, a personalised map of your chosen area makes a wonderful conversation piece, as well as looking fabulous on the wall.

The Inky Birds are also back! Old favourites will be there and there are plenty of new ones too. These paintings are created using Indian Ink (some have a splash of watercolour) and a Chinese Brush. They capture character and elegance with minimal and flowing brushstrokes.

In contrast, Victoria’s love of colour and pattern is evident in her range of upcycled, handpainted lamps and vessels. Each piece is cleaned up, sanded down, primed, painted and varnished. The choice of colour and surface pattern design is led by the shape of the piece and is always maximalist!
