Paul Williams – Oil Paintings
Discipline: Painting
Paul took to oil painting after the Covid pandemic and he is a natural talent – creating bright, colourful, textured and realistic paintings. Since landing in Croford, Paul has enjoyed more space to paint prolifically in his large studio in a former farmyard stables. His work ranges from landscapes and seascapes – including some local scenes, to still life – his soft fruit is without exception! He even knocks out the occasional portrait. Paul says, modestly:
“As a newcomer to oil painting, well any painting really, I am just really enjoying learning how to put oils down on canvas. I’ve not yet found my niche and portraits are just impossible aren’t they, but having spent most of my childhood watching my dad, a London taxi driver, trying to capture the sea and wind on canvas in his spare time, I really can’t fathom what took me so long to have a go myself.”
Come and see for yourself!
