Tess Armitage is a British contemporary artist known for her evocative  landscape paintings. Living close to Exmoor, Tess finds inspiration in wild and untouched places. She works in an intuitive way, exploring paint through mark making, scratching, splattering and palette knife work. Her work captures the beauty of landscape, as well as evoking the atmosphere and spirit of the place, exuding energy and vitality. Tess often draws inspiration from her travels and the natural world, as well as her own emotional and physical experiences. Her paintings are a reflection of her ongoing exploration of the relationship between form, colour, and expression. With a unique style that is both playful and sophisticated, Tess’s work has gained recognition from collectors and art enthusiasts alike.
