Alexandra Lavizzari - Goliath Falls Painting

Alexandra Lavizzari

Discipline Painting, Mixed media, Photography

Swiss artist and writer Alexandra Lavizzari has been living and and working in the heart of the little market town of Wellington since 2016.

Painting for her means exploring the interaction between colour and form in order to create particular moods, mostly of places she finds especially beautiful and worth capturing to share with viewers.

Above all, though, painting is also an experiment, a challenge and a journey into the unknown. Lavizzari works mostly with soft pastels, oil and acrylics, but is always open to trying out new techniques and using new materials, which means that over the years she has developed different styles according to what she wants to express and with which materials she is working.

Lavizzari exhibits locally in Somerset in galleries and Art Fairs and viewers can visit her studio in Wellington by appointment (07535005793). 2023 she was a finalist for the British Art Prize and 2024 she won best artwork on paper at the Wells Art Contemporary.
