The 2021 Registration for the 10 Parishes Festival is open.

The 10 Parishes Festival Committee is delighted to announce the dates for this year’s Festival as 11th-19th September.
As you know, we would usually hold a launch meeting in Wiveliscombe in early January, but in light of ongoing restrictions, we are sending our invitation for you to participate by email.
The committee is very confident that this year’s Festival will be able to operate much as usual. Some local artists participated successfully in the 2020 Somerset Open Studios event produced by Somerset Art Works. Given the vaccination programme and experience of how facilities were able to either operate effective social distancing measures, or by using an appointments system, we feel that all of our mutual objectives can be met.
You can be assured that as the months progress, we will monitor and appraise government advice, as well as reflecting social norms and attitudes, particularly with regard to personal health and safety. This applies, of course, to both our artists/performers and families and to visitors. We have nine months to prepare.
You will be pleased to know that we have maintained the registration fee at £60, the majority of which will be utilised to promote the event in the most effective and engaging ways which includes of course, our wonderful full colour Guide, distributed throughout Somerset from early August.
We are equally excited to announce that the theme for this year’s Festival is New Leaf, which will give inspiration for participants in the Carnival Day Procession, in addition to those artists who feel that they may wish to take reference and reflect in some or all of their work.
The deadline for registration is 31st March. It would assist us greatly if those who have already given thought to participating to register promptly.
In past years, we have been able to offer free insurance cover to participating artists.  However, it has now become impossible for us to get blanket cover from any insurance company so it has to be up to you as individual artists to provide your own cover. This is in line with every other art trail or open studio event that we have investigated. It may be that a good number of you may already have their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI), which is perfect.  However, those who don’t are advised to register with Artists Network which offers comprehensive cover, plus a lot of other benefits, for £38 pa.  The committee cannot accept Festival registrations without sight of either A-N membership or a PLI policy document.  Registration is very easy and is accessible at
Naturally I understand that some potential participants may have questions, please feel free to email me on
