Artist spotlight – Aga Karmolinska

Bathealton artist Aga Karmolinska has once again designed this year’s festival guide and will exhibit at the festival for the first time.

Aga studied fine art (painting and drawing) at the Academy of Fine Art in Gdansk (Poland) – and got a Masters Degree  (MA) there in 1988.

Aga explained further, “Then I have been working as a graphic designer for 25 years. After I moved from London to Somerset (in 2014) I started making art again – it’s a perfect place for being creative.

“It’s my first exhibition after almost 30 years, so it is very important and emotional for me. I will be showing  photographs, drawings, linocuts and a few paintings.”

Aga will exhibit daily during the festival at Bathealton Village Hall along with a wide ranging exhibition of paintings, crafts, cards, jewellery and hand-painted silk items.
