We’ve reached a major milestone! The Festival Guide is out – and it looks fantastic. Now over 15,000 full colour printed Guides, hot off the press, will help spread the word.

Some are being handed out by artists and friends, and the rest delivered in person by Festival Director Pauline Homeshaw across most of Somerset and into East Devon, in galleries, shops, cafes, libraries and community offices.

Congratulations to Dave Meehan, who designed and laid out the 40 page, beautifully produced free Guides. They detail all the arts, music and community events taking place in the ten parishes throughout the Festival from September 7 – 15, and at the day long, festive Street Market and Carnival in the town on Sunday September 8.

They are also an excellent resource for those interested in the arts to use after the Festival, showing the huge array of talented artists, craftspeople, photographers and more who are taking part in this biennial celebration of the arts in West Somerset.

“This is always a very exciting milestone – and now the Festival is just over a month away,” said Pauline Homeshaw.

“We are very grateful to Taunton Deane Borough Council which gave us funding towards the costs of the Guide production and the website. The Festival gives a real economic boost to people and businesses in the area as well as being a wonderful celebration of the arts and communities here”

The Guides are available in local community offices and libraries as well as shops and galleries, or can be sent from the Wiveliscombe Community Office. Contact 01984 624777, communityoffice@wiveliscombe.com or Wiveliscombe  House,  The Square, Wiveliscombe, Taunton TA4 2JT.
