If you go down to the woods today…adventures of all kinds are on offer at Haydon Hill Wood in Chipstable, in the special Festival event A Thousand Feet Up.
Set in this beautiful 14 acre wood, just over 1000 feet above sea level, it’s the first year for this new and stunning venue for some of the area’s most exciting and imaginative artists and performers, creators and makers.
Explore, discover and make art work in amongst the trees (and enjoy tea and cakes too) with the following well known artists offering all kinds of workshops: Jane Mowat – Wood carving workshops, four poster bed, stories; Michael Fairfax – Tree harps, camera obscura, ear trumpets in trees; Louise Baker – A Stitch in Time, Mending Fences, Draw the Wood workshops; Jo Dove & Sara Fairfax – Clay Goddess workshops; Jenni Dutton – Dolls, Stitching and Mending; Jane Crockett – Tree Treasures.
